Vitalant Leads Industry in Integrating Transfusion and Reference Lab Activities

Vitalant successfully implemented the Patient Health Software (PHS) application for hospital partners in Denver, Lafayette, Spokane and Tempe on June 12, 2022. Vitalant is the first organization in the U.S. to use PHS to integrate both transfusion and reference lab activities. Once PHS is fully implemented in all Vitalant locations, all of our reference labs and transfusion services will be on one software system across the organization. The PHS transfusion and reference software suite, developed by MAK-SYSTEM, supports healthcare services worldwide and is used to document patient test results.

We sincerely thank all our reference labs and transfusion services partners in the Denver, Lafayette, Tempe and Spokane areas for helping to make this a smooth transition. The next rollout of PHS will occur with the Pittsburgh and Cleveland integration, scheduled for May 2023.
